As it is designed, this Trek does require some hiking and necessary physical ability. While we built the tour with rest stops in mind, be aware that it includes a one-hour mule ride (1.5 miles) along with a 30 minute uphill hike at moderate intensity to reach the ancient cave (along with 30 minutes downhill).
There are options to customize the tour to make it more or less advanced in physical exertion required. Given how full the experience is (and how many options we have for customization), several items can be opted out of for some or all members of a group and it would still be a fulfilling trek.

The one-hour mule ride on this trek can be replaced by a one-hour hike. At the same time, those seeking a route between the Two Villages that does not require off-roading can opt for a twenty minute car ride with their Trekker.
Additionally, there is an option to add a 45 minute hike up the mountain to a “Jewish castle” which was later made into a shrine.
The tour as designed has lunch in a local home. If for dietary or other reasons this is not possible, this can be a simple catered lunch.
All customizations are no additional charge and can be pre-planned or made in the moment.
